She graduated in Law at the University of Milan with a dissertation in Criminal Law, final grade 110/110.

She is a registered lawyer at the Court of Milan and she has obtained the final grade 350/350.

She is admitted to the Court of Cassation and other Higher Courts.

She attended the First Course of the National School of Higher Education (Primo Corso della Scuola Nazionale di Alta Formazione) dedicated to criminal lawyers, organised by the Unione delle Camere Penali Italiane in the two-year period 2011-2012.

She has gained considerable experience working for a prestigious law firm in Milan, specialized in: corporate criminal law, professional liabilities, personal injury, clinical negligence and safety at work, criminal law involving mass media, international criminal law and the administrative liability of corporate bodies introduced by the Italian Legislative Decree n. 231/2001 and further modifications.

During the intense judicial and extra-judicial activity, she has worked on a high number of relevant proceedings within the national and the international frameworks, facing and deepening both the criminal law fields aforementioned and, in addition, the ones concerning severe negligent personal injury and employment cases, environmental crimes, computer and new technologies crimes and crimes against the Public Administration.

Besides, she has realized, for various companies, listed and not listed, the compliance models (Organizational, Management and Control Model) following the organizational criteria of transparency, effectiveness, share of liabilities and control imposed by the Italian Legislative Decree n. 231/2001.

Currently she is President and Member of the Supervisory Bodies of international companies, leader in the productive and commercial sectors.

Furthermore, she legally represents, Italian citizens and foreigners, within criminal proceedings related to international cooperation in the field of criminal law also with specific reference to the European arrest warrant and to the extradition requests and the rogatory procedures active and passive.

She has, moreover, practiced in English and French before the judicial authorities of Aix-en-Provence, Nice, London, Lugano and Malta. This experience allowed her to deepen her knowledge of the foreign criminal processual systems of civil and common law.

Since November 2007 she is the owner of the Chiara Padovani Law Firm in Milan, which offers legal assistance to its clients in the fields of administrative liability of corporations and legal entities, for crimes committed by their members, pursuant to the Italian Legislative Decree n. 231/2001, personal injury, clinical negligence and safety at work, tax crimes, crimes against the Public Administration, computer and cyber crimes, environmental crimes and international criminal law.

Part of the activity is oriented to the criminal profiles following corporate crisis and to the drafting, adoption and implementation of the compliance models (Organizational, Management and Control Model) on behalf of multinational corporations and listed companies.

She works in Italian, English, French and Spanish.

She is lecturer of “The administrative liability of corporations and legal entities, for crimes committed by their members, pursuant to the Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001”, for the academic year 2016-2017, at the Specialization Course held by the University of Milan, Law School.

She is lecturer, for the academic year 2016-2017, of “Criminal Procedure: the precautionary measures” at the Specialization School for the Legal Professions (Scuola di Specializzazione per le Professioni Forensi) at the University of Brescia.

She was lecturer of “The administrative liability of corporations and legal entities, for crimes committed by their members, pursuant to the Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001”, for the academic year 2015-2016, at the Specialization Course held by the University of Milan, Law School.

She was lecturer, for the academic year 2015-2016, of “Criminal Procedure: relationships with the foreign Judicial Authority” at the Specialization School for the Legal Professions (Scuola di Specializzazione per le Professioni Forensi) at the University of Brescia.

She was lecturer of “Criminal Procedure: The Foreign Judicial Authorities” for the academic year 2014-2015, at the Specialization School for the Legal Professions (Scuola di Specializzazione per le Professioni Forensi) at the University of Brescia.
